Designers and researchers will share perspectives on biophilic design, sensory engagement, and inclusive environments, particularly in homes, healthcare, and community settings. The session will also spotlight emerging standards and frameworks for designing spaces that prioritise people’s health, comfort, and dignity.

Nikki Hunt’s Design Intervention

Born in London, Nikki moved to Singapore in 1990. Now a proud Singaporean, Nikki founded Design Intervention in 2004. Since then, the company has become one of the region’s most respected design consultancies. Her work has been published both regionally and internationally and has consistently been recognised amongst the industry’s best. She has been described as a “doyenne of interior design” by Singapore’s leading interiors magazine and has been included 10 times in the Andrew Martin annual list of the World’s Top 100 Designers.

She believes that design, like nutrition, fitness and sleep, is an essential tool for healthy living.

Kenneth Yeo brings over 30 years of global experience in Interior Design, with a specialised focus on healthcare environments and strategic design planning. Recognised for his innovative approach and leadership, he has led and delivered cross-border projects across both public and private sectors. Currently serving as a Healthcare Design Specialist at Nanyang Polytechnic, Kenneth also heads the Continuing Education & Training (CET) team and drives industry partnerships, bridging education with real-world practice.

Sha’an Ng is a senior marketing leader with over 16 years of experience building and growing global brands across luxury, lifestyle, and home sectors. Currently Head of Marketing for AkzoNobel Paints in Singapore and Export Markets, Sha’an drives strategy and brand growth for Dulux, Sikkens, and Nordsjö across Southeast Asia, Australia, and the Pacific.

A passionate advocate for design and innovation, Sha’an has led impactful campaigns that connect colour, creativity, and well-being, transforming customer engagement across retail, project, and digital channels.

In her speaking role, Sha’an focuses on designing for well-being, exploring how innovations like wall paints are redefining interior spaces by improving air quality and promoting healthier living. She also champions AkzoNobel’s broader sustainability efforts under the “People. Planet. Paint.” framework, inspiring audiences to see paint not just as decoration, but as a partner in creating healthier, more sustainable futures.
