Evolving Boundaries and New Responsive Environments
As we navigate the intersections of life, work, and community, traditional notions of space and boundaries are evolving. This presentation explores the transformative power of rethinking space, from the physical to the metaphorical, and redefining boundaries whilst embracing their inherent impermanence. This approach promotes adaptability and inclusivity, creating responsive environments that foster connection, creativity, and well-being.
Our Director, Jake, is a laminate industry veteran with 15 years of knowledge and experience in the field. Jake not only transformed Admira into a design-driven company but also expanded Admira’s overseas presence with distribution centers in Australia, Malaysia, and Thailand, which played a significant role in shaping Admira into the successful company it is today.
Furthermore, he holds the position of Vice President in the Singapore Furniture Industries Council (SFIC) where he has served actively for 13 years. Through his involvement at SFIC, Jake is also the Founding Chairman of the ASEAN Youth Furniture Exchange that promotes business cooperation between young furniture industry leaders in the ASEAN region.
During the doldrums of the Covid-19 pandemic, Jake used the time during lockdown isolation to take a step back and brainstorm new innovations and was able to develop and file a patent for Admira’s revolutionary new product, APOD.
An acronym for Artistic Panels On Demand, APOD allows designers to incorporate graphics and fine art into their interiors with Laminates. APOD is the most durable graphic printing method for interior surfaces available in the industry today. With no minimum quantity, APOD allows designers to express their creative and artistic freedom without being held back by large minimum quantity requirements.
